    Terms & Conditions

    Last updated: October 2025

    Important — please read carefully before booking or proceeding with any service.

    Performance tuning can increase power, torque, thermal load, component stress, fuel consumption and emissions, and may expose pre-existing weaknesses in your vehicle. These terms explain the risks, your responsibilities and the limits of our liability. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law.

    1. Acceptance and Scope

    These Terms & Conditions apply to all ECU and TCU tuning, remapping, diagnostics, coding, emissions-related services, software, products, workshop work, mobile work and bookings supplied by LP Tuning LTD ("LP Tuning", "we", "us"). By booking, paying, supplying a vehicle, approving work or otherwise using any of our services, you ("the customer", "you") accept these terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not book or proceed with any service.

    These terms apply in addition to any written quotation or written agreement we provide for a specific job. Where there is any conflict between these terms and a specific written agreement signed by us, the specific written agreement prevails for that job only.

    2. Customer Warranties

    You confirm to us that:

    • you are the legal owner of the vehicle, or you have the full authority of the owner to instruct us to carry out the work;
    • the vehicle is roadworthy and insured for the purposes for which you intend to use it;
    • all information you have provided to us is accurate and complete, including vehicle details, registration, current setup, known faults and any existing modifications;
    • you have disclosed all known faults, warning lights, previous repairs, modifications and software changes that could affect the work; and
    • the requested work will be used lawfully and in accordance with all applicable road, emissions, insurance and regulatory requirements.

    3. Vehicle Suitability and Latent Defects

    Tuning and remapping can increase power, torque, thermal load, component stress, fuel consumption, emissions and general wear, and may expose pre-existing weaknesses or latent defects in your vehicle that were not previously apparent.

    Dyno testing, physical inspections and data logging reduce risk but cannot guarantee that latent defects will be discovered or that a vehicle will remain fault-free during or after the work. You acknowledge that performance modifications may affect vehicle performance, fuel consumption, emissions, reliability and wear, and that some vehicles may be unsuitable for a requested service.

    4. No Guaranteed Result

    No particular horsepower, torque, economy, drivability, diagnostic result, emissions result or compatibility is guaranteed unless we have expressly agreed a specific result with you in writing. Any figures, estimates or ranges provided are estimates only and depend on the exact vehicle, its condition, software version, hardware and the selected tuning option.

    5. Customer Instructions and Misuse

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for problems caused by misuse, racing, track use, abuse, unsuitable or incorrect fuel, neglected maintenance, continued driving after warning lights or faults appear, inaccurate or incomplete information, undisclosed modifications, third-party work, software updates, incompatible parts, or later modifications made after our service.

    6. Emissions and Legal Compliance

    You are solely responsible for the road legality, MOT, insurance, taxation, emissions compliance, type approval and lawful use of your vehicle at all times. We may refuse any request that we reasonably consider unlawful, unsafe or unsuitable. We do not advertise, recommend or encourage unlawful emissions tampering.

    7. Diagnostics and Remedial Process

    If you believe any work is defective, you must report it to us promptly and in writing with relevant details. You must stop using the vehicle where continued use may worsen any damage, and you must provide us with reasonable access to inspect and assess the vehicle.

    You must give us the first reasonable opportunity to diagnose, revise, recalibrate, re-perform or otherwise remedy any allegedly defective work before commissioning third-party work or seeking associated costs.

    8. Exclusive Remedies

    To the extent legally permitted, the contractual remedies available to you for defective work are: reasonable rectification or repeat performance by us; a reasonable price reduction; or a refund of the affected service where rectification is impossible or disproportionate.

    To the extent lawfully permitted, you cannot claim unrelated consequential or indirect losses arising from the service.

    9. Refunds and Booking Fees

    Booking fees reserve labour and appointment capacity and are non-refundable for cancellations, no-shows, late arrival, unsuitable vehicles or customer-caused failure to complete the work, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

    Services and custom software are not refundable merely because you change your mind, subjectively dislike the result, or the issue arises from misuse or later work carried out after our service. Where a statutory right to a refund or remedy applies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, that right is preserved.

    10. Vehicle Custody and Property

    You must remove all valuables and personal belongings from the vehicle before leaving it with us. We are responsible only for loss or damage caused by liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

    To the fullest lawful extent, we are not responsible for pre-existing defects, inherent mechanical failure, ordinary deterioration, or loss of or damage to unattended personal property left in the vehicle.

    11. Liability Cap and Excluded Losses

    Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

    Subject to the above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses, loss of income, business interruption, loss of use, vehicle downtime, travel costs, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity and third-party costs.

    Subject to any non-excludable liability, our total liability arising from a single service is capped at the amount you paid us for that specific service.

    12. Third-Party Work and Later Modifications

    We are not responsible for issues caused by third-party repairs, later modifications, removal or alteration of the calibration we provided, incompatible components, or software changes made after our service.

    13. Complaints and Evidence

    Complaints must be made promptly and in writing with relevant evidence. You must allow us a reasonable inspection and remedy opportunity before commissioning third-party work or seeking associated costs.

    14. Severability, Entire Agreement and Governing Law

    Severability. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part shall be severed and the remaining terms continue in full force.

    Entire agreement. These terms, together with any written quotation or written agreement we provide for a specific job, constitute the entire agreement between you and LP Tuning for that service.

    No waiver. Any failure by us to enforce a right under these terms is not a waiver of that right.

    Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

    Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law.

    By booking, paying, supplying a vehicle, approving work or using any LP Tuning LTD service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
